WHY

When Half the World is Gone, Why Bring the Other Half Back?

I’m heading into the last editing phase of the novel: WHY. After deep edits/cuts, revisions, and checking the main character’s voice, I’m still at 125K words. I think I might have to go with a hybrid publishing company. Losing the integrity of the story vs. a publisher’s preferred word count (and the dismissal of not following by the rules) is a constant internal battle for me.
